Welcome to our new Thumbs Carllile site. First of all, there will be nothing sold here. You will however, find links to sites with CD's for sale.
The purpose here is to post music and videos available nowhere else.
I met Thumbs when he and his family moved to Atlanta in 1987. About 6 months later he approached me about recording a demo of his trio (The Indecent 3) to offer for sale at his gigs. Each time we got together to work on the project, it had the feel of a type of celebration. And indeed there was reason for celebration. After all he had conquered
cancer and for the first time in his life he was fronting his own band and playing exactly what he loved.
And Atlanta embraced him. His regular weekly performances were well attended and he was co-hosting a weekly radio program.
Unfortunately he would pass away just as the recordings were completed. We were all devastated and I had no idea of what to do with his music.
A few wears later I made a couple attempts to get them released but nothing came together.
The tracks are posted here for your enjoyment... more soon.

Thanks for setting up this site about a great guitar picker. I had the opportunity to see Thumbs perform solo and meet him once in Los Angeles, and it's a night I'll never forget!
Thanks again,
